30-Year Tech Veteran and Chief Product Architect Leads Group of Distinguished Advisors Spanning Data Science and Machine Learning Disciplines

SILICON VALLEY, CA— June 2, 2015  – Blazent, the leader in IT Intelligence and Data Quality, today announced the formation of its ‘Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO),’ dedicated to helping customers and partners navigate rapidly changing technology advancements while furthering the innovation of new solutions. Blazent’s Office of the CTO will be led by Chief Product Architect, Michael Ludwig, the driving force behind Blazent’s solutions. Ludwig will be joined by Mike Marson, VP of Engineering at Blazent; Data Science expert Nandu Nandakumar, PhD; and 35-year technology and business executive, Jack Porter.

Formation of the ‘Office of the CTO’ is the result of the company’s 13-year legacy helping large-scale organizations manage and analyze complex data. Under Ludwig’s leadership, this well-rounded team brings deep expertise across database management, analytics, data science and machine learning. Together, they will help take customer data initiatives to the next level, from analysis and insight to action and results.

Michael Ludwig, Chief Product Architect at Blazent: Michael is the driving force behind the Office of the CTO, bringing 30 years of IT leadership experience to the team. Throughout his career, he has held various development roles with an emphasis on key industry verticals such as Telecommunications, Aerospace and Defense and Education.   

Mike Marson, VP of Engineering at Blazent: Mike is a 20-year software veteran responsible for driving Blazent’s engineering efforts, and shaping and implementing products. He provides guidance to the engineering team, empowering them to deliver leading edge software products. Prior to Blazent, Mike was lead architect at Federal APD.

Nandu Nandakumar, CEO at Razorthink: Nandu holds a PhD in Operations Management from Carnegie Mellon University and is an expert on predictive analytics and modeling. He previously founded three companies, Net Margins, Inc.,  Virima Technologies, Inc., and Core Concept, where he served in both CEO and CTO roles. Nandu specializes in solving large-scale logistical challenges and managing complex configuration problems, in addition to holding deep expertise in data management and analytics.

Jack Porter, Founder of Forward Accelerator and CEO at Executive Mindshare: Jack is a serial entrepreneur who has served as CEO of eight successful software companies. His expertise includes understanding how to leverage complex mathematic models, visualizations, and advanced analytics with an emphasis on the pharmaceutical industry. Jack has published three books on technology innovation and is a sought after speaker at industry conferences.
